Reflections

This is my mood board for my latest collection.  I looked at geometric structures from modern architecture and shattered mirrors.

I developed my own geometric screen print from looking at shattered mirrors. I love the simplicity of this design.

This is my initial experimentation for print designs using geometric shapes.

Here are some quick illustrations of design ideas. I especially like the angular structures of the skirt on the third garment.

Here I cut artista glass into triangle shapes and applied to my screen print design for added texture and to create further reflections on my garment. I would like to use glass and metals in my future designs.

Here I experimented with shapes on the mannequin to get the perfect geometric points for my skirt design.

I love the reflective surface of this design which has my geometric print sewn over to create interesting texture..

I designed and made the whole outfit which has a muted, subtle palette. Inspired by geometric structures the outfit is futuristic and modern.

I love the structure of this skirt which was inspired by designers Irina Shaposhnikova and Iris v
an Herpen who push boundaries and strive for new silhouettes. I would love to similarly experiment with new materials and techniques, such as plastics and 3D printing. .

I love the simplicity of the white and black dress made from vinyl. The rigid fabric contrasts beautifully with the navy polo neck.
